A new flame ionization detector for Agilent 1260 SFC Systems
The SIM GmbH has developed a flame ionization detector (FID) for the Agilent SFC system. Now the system can also be used for all applications at which the supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) is coupled with the FID – such as the fuel analytics in accordance with ASTM D5186 regulations.
During the development of the FID, great value was attached to a simple operation: now the parameter entry and data analysis is integrated into the OpenLAB ChemStation completely.
An essential advantage of the analytics with SFC-FID is the use of overcritical carbon dioxide as solvent: here it is a real “green” chromatography, because the consumption of the environmentally friendly and non-toxic CO2 is quite low and only a few residues arise.
