Pyrolysis Workshop 2018 was a great success
It has been three years since the last pyrolysis workshop, so this November SIM and the manufacturer Frontier Lab invited to the 4th pyrolysis workshop. After the great response to previous workshops, this year's event was even more popular: 40 users of pyrolysis systems met in Essen to discuss once again this interesting field of analytics.
The two operators provided a suitable setting for the user presentations with lectures on innovations from Frontier Lab as well as tips and tricks on pyrolysis GC/MS: starting with the hot topic of analysis of microplastics, which was illuminated by two speakers from different perspectives, a wide range of topics was covered such as the use of pyrolysis in industrial polymer analysis and the investigation of historical museum exhibits made of plastic.
During lunch and coffee breaks the participants had lively conversations to exchange experiences and discuss their own questions with other pyrolysis users. This overall package was so well received that nothing stands in the way of another meeting in two to three years.
