SIM presented the SFC-FID Analyzer at PEFTEC

Electric car or fuel cell?! It is not only the current climate debate that has brought the question of a good life cycle assessment of motor vehicles back to the forefront. We prefer to leave complicated calculations to others and concentrate on our core business, the solution of analysis questions. In this context, SIM has developed an SFC analyzer with a flame ionization detector (FID) for fuel analysis according ASTM norms.

At the 3rd international PEFTEC conference in Rotterdam we presented this SFC-FID Analyzer as a complete solution. The technical event on the subject of analysis and monitoring of gases, oil products, chemicals and petrochemicals provided a good opportunity to present the advantages of the system. The "Analyzer" is prepared at SIM and ready for use according to the respective fuel standards. After installation in the customer’s laboratory, the analysis of e.g. aromatics in diesel fuel or olefins in petrol can begin immediately - without long preparatory work.

Participants at this year's Agilent Analytics Forum in Hanover got a detailed insight into the possibilities of the SFC-FID coupling for the different ASTM methods. Our employee Sebastian Braas gave a lecture on "SFC applications for environmentally relevant fuel analysis".
