New partner - Reach Separations
We are pleased to introduce our new cooperation partner Reach Separations, a company specialized in preparative chromatography for the purification of small molecules!
In cooperation with Reach Separations, we have modified a fraction collector for supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC).
The Agilent 1260 Infinity II fraction collector was originally optimized for LC laboratories working in the analytical field, performing purifications of compounds in the nanogram to milligram range with typical flow rates between 0.1 and 10 ml/min.
We now offer a modification of this fraction collector that is suitable for SFC with a patented gas-liquid separator. In cooperation with Reach Separations, we were able to show that this SIM-SFC fraction collector achieves good separation rates for a wide range of applications.
SFC is a powerful technology that is particularly suitable for the separation of complex compounds and for the analysis of natural products, pharmaceuticals and other challenging samples. With supercritical CO2 as eluent, an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solvent is used in SFC, thus significantly reducing the need for organic solvents.
In the next step, we would like to extend the use of the fraction collector to preparative SFC to separate and isolate larger amounts of compounds with high purity and improved efficiency.
We look forward to an exciting and continued productive collaboration.
