Cryotrap
The Cryotrap is situated in the oven of the gas chromatograph. Cooling is possible by liquid nitrogen (to -150°C) or CO2 (to -60°C) or cool air from our air-cooling unit (to -10°C) to allow cryofocussing of the analytes:
- onto the analytical column inside the cryotrap,or
- onto adsorbents (for example Tenax®) which are located in a glass tube inside the cryotrap
Subsequently, the analytes can be transferred to the main column by temperature-programmed heating.
- for installation in the oven of Agilent gas chromatographs 6890 / 6850 / 5890
- cryofocussing onto a column or adsorbents
- cooling by liquid nitrogen, CO2, or air (of the SIM air cooling unit / sold separately)
- sample heating is controlled by a temperature program
- operating with an external controller
