Heatable syringe
for Agilent autosampler 7693
The heatable syringe was developed by SIM for application with Agilent Autosampler 7693. It ensures a steady sample temperature during the entire injection process from filling the syringe out of the sample vial to injection into the GC inlet. Combined with a heatable sample tray, this ensures reliable analytical results and a trouble-free operation.
Samples that are not completely in liquid form at room temperature can only be injected into the GC with a standard autosampler when using a heatable sample tray. However, the substance inside the syringe can turn solid again during this process, which can lead to non-reproducible runs and even a termination of the run. A remedy can be provided with the heatable syringe by SIM with temperatures that can be adjusted up to 65 °C. Substances such as higher alcohols can be injected into the GC at 50 °C without any problems and no clogging of the syringe.
