With this device installed, any set of peaks in the EGA curve obtained by Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer can be heart-cut, and solvent peaks and high boiling species can also be removed. The technique also eliminates flow path contaminations with polar species, and tar residues on the metal surfaces. This results in reduced analysis time and easy maintenance of the separation column and the detector.
