Pressure/Flow Controller
Capillary GC inlet systems use back-pressure regulators which maintain a constant upstream pressure and rapidly respond to catastrophic leaks (e.g. spare part for Agilent 5890 or as supplement for column switching, back-flushing).The regulator operates with a diaphragm (Fairprene 5029 A) and is superior by its response sensitivity and precision.

The Porter VCD 1000 flow controller is used to provide a constant carrier or make-up gas flow regardless of changes in downstream pressure. It maintains a preset pressure differential across a laminar flow element. The controller is available with interchangeable flow controller elements.
