It's been 20 years that Mr. Werner Kientopf and Mr. Rolf Eichelberg combined their know-how and set the groundwork for SIM Scientific Instruments Manufacturer GmbH. At this point, Mr. Kientopf, a precision engineer, was already able to look back on 18 years of experience in the fields of construction and manufacturing of suitable GC accessories.

Improving established products can set new standards. Therefore look forward to the new PTV inlet for cold injection of analytes into a GC system. The PTV inlet is a further development of the SIM split/splitless GC inlet, which so far has been sold over a 1,000 times.
For temperature-sensitive samples, controlling the storage temperature is indispensable. Higher ambient temperatures during summer can alter the sample, but also lab conditions of 20 to 25 °C. This is particularly a problem with a fully loaded autosampler, where samples are lining up until the analysis run.
The 20th ILMAC took place in Basel from September 20-23, 2016. At the most important specialists trade fair for process and laboratory technology in Switzerland SIM presented, for the first time ever, a number of innovative system solutions and suitable accessories from our portfolio to many interested visitors.
On September 14 and 15, 2016 the 2nd seminar for water analysis took place in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
