At the beginning of September, SIM products were presented at the Japanese trade fair JASIS (Japan Analytical & Scientific Instruments Show) for the first time.
Electric car or fuel cell?! It is not only the current climate debate that has brought the question of a good life cycle assessment of motor vehicles back to the forefront. We prefer to leave complicated calculations to others and concentrate on our core business, the solution of analysis questions. In this context, SIM has developed an SFC analyzer with a flame ionization detector (FID) for fuel analysis according ASTM norms.
Elektroauto oder Brennstoffzelle?! Nicht erst die aktuelle Klimadiskussion rückt die Frage nach einer guten Ökobilanz von Kraftfahrzeugen wieder in den Vordergrund. Die umfassende Berechnungen von Abgaswerten und Co. überlassen wir lieber anderen und kümmern uns um analytische Fragestellungen. In diesem Zusammenhang hat SIM einen Flammenionisationsdetektor (FID) entwickelt, der in Kombination mit dem 1260 Infinity II SFC-System von Agilent und einem PAL-Autosampler für die Kraftstoffanalytik eingesetzt werden kann.
Auf der 3. internationalen PEFTEC Konferenz in Rotterdam haben wir nun erstmalig den SFC-FID Analyzer als Komplettlösung präsentiert. Die Fachveranstaltung zum Thema Analyse und Überwachung von Gasen, Ölprodukten, Chemikalien und Petrochemikalien bot eine gute Gelegenheit, die Vorteile des Systems zu präsentieren. Der „Analyzer“ wird bei SIM fix- und fertig für die Analyse gemäß der jeweiligen Kraftstoff-Normen vorbereitet. Nach Installation im Labor kann dann - ohne lange Vorarbeiten - gleich die Analyse von z.B. Aromaten in Dieselkraftstoff oder Olefinen in Benzin beginnen.
Weitere Informationen zu SFC-Applikationen entsprechend der verschiedenen Kraftstoff-Normen erhielten Teilnehmer des diesjährigen Agilent Analytik-Forums in Hannover. Unser Mitarbeiter Sebastian Braas hielt dort einen Vortrag zum Thema „SFC-Applikationen zur umweltrelevanten Analytik von Kraftstoffen“.
